Three days ago (Friday June 29th at 9 am), I was placed under general anesthesia for a laparoscopic bilateral salpingectomy. The surgery went fine, I woke up and was discharged with the usual instructions and ten Vicodin. Overall recovery has gone well, had no problems urinating, sore throat and gas pains are already gone, incisions barely hurt. But, through my neck, jawline, shoulders and upper chest and back, the skin is tender to the touch as if it is bruised (it isn't). Is this normal after surgery? Could it be a side effect of the pain medicines?
