I have a surgery consult but want a second opinion. MRI of cervical spine reads:
C4-C5 left foraminal focal disc protrusion and mild bilateral unconvertebral joint arthropathy resulting in mild right and moderate left neural foraminal stenosis
C5-C6 there is moderate bilateral neural foraminal stenosis secondary to unconvertebral joint arthrpathy.
Also, my X-ray shows that my cervical spine is completely straight.
I have constant pain in between my shoulders along with numbness and tingling. I can't raise my arms without burning and tingling. I have pain that radiates down my arms. Slight bladder loss issues. Severe pain at the base of my skull. Headaches. Severe spasms in shoulders and back. VERY stiff neck and shoulders.
I have had dozens of cortisone injections as well as radio frequency ablations over the last 6 years. Tried physical therapy multiple times as well as acupuncture and meds. The pain has been increasing over the last ten years.
My surgery consult next month is to discuss abfusion. Do you think this would reduce any of my pain?
Thank you!
