this broke my heart

I cant stop thinking about it! I was in the hospital the other day in labor and delivery and this mom was having a premature baby (33-34 weeks I believe)  and she was screaming so so much (my room was right next to delivery lol) and you finally heard that little baby cry then all this panick came in and the family kinda started screaming (more scared) and I had asked my nurse what had happened and she told me the young mom passed away after delivering.  she wasnt able to tell me why, but it seriously broke my heart and scared me :"( I cant imagine finally having my baby then leaving him!  I'm sure she didnt expect it... but  I cant forget the screams, and it really hurts my heart...

From what I understand, if its hemorrhaging.. they are more likely able to stop it with a c section. I feel so bad for this family. I keep having nightmares of this happening to me. :( I have expressed to my dr my concerns and he says its rare :/

Yes labor is really dangerous and risky and I'm not trying to bring religion up or any discussion but you should know who you trust on and know that God won't let nothing happen that it's not on his plans he can make the impossible possible so don't freak out ladies just put your life's and yalls babies life in Gods hands and trust in him :)

Young or old. That's the closest thing to death is having a baby! This is my second baby so i don't think she's trying to scare anybody it's just something we all have to think about as a risk of being pregnant and having a baby. Some ppl developed diabetes, high blood pressure, blood clots..etc. You just don't worry about being a mother your body changes. You can hemorrhage, alot can go wrong! Even after birth you can lose your mental state. So it's not all peaches and cream having a baby

@whitney I wondered that as well if it couldve simply have been prevented with a c section, I dont understand why they didnt just go through with it but I'm sure they had a reason:/

@ohmyguera you and your baby will be perfectly healthy and fine. dont stress what you cant control. in a day or so you'll be able to share your birth story we'll all enjoy reading!

I wonder if it was something from the vaginal delivery that a c section could of prevented?

nellyzz, exactly. couldnt have ssaid it better. the fact of the matter this whole world can be a horrible place, but there are so, many beautiful things to enjoy while living in it. we can have our fears, but letting them control us is another story. again, didnt post this to scare or to make people realize, but maybe people should realize. we are strong and meant to carry babies, but god has our plan and while god can take anyone, so can the enemy. I wish we didnt have to grow through so much but its life, and we have beautiful babies afterwards who will at some point be in the same position as us. god is good ladies....whether youre a believer or not. he loves you anyways, and hes waiting for you. but the enemy is also waiting. make good choices, love your babies, believe in YOURSELF,  and KNOW gods got you

NEVER ignore intuition. what happen to this girl is horrible poor girl poor baby and family! that is soo sad!!! this does not scare.me cos I believe what ever happens happens. cant go through life living in fear ladies. your more likely to have a car accident in a car then what happened to this girl. we all take risks ladies when we walked out our doors.or jump in our cars. im not a religious person but we do all have a path. dont be scared ladies :)

That's sad but that's why she probably gave birth before time. Maybe she was high risk for some reasons. Only god knows ladies don't worry girls everything is going to be fine.

Its actually not surprising most people don't realize how dangerous labor is. Its very hard on your body and the changes in blood vessels and flow are hazardous. Dont worry too much bc we are built to have babies tho there is danger in everything.goodluck and it is heartbreaking.

Well i loved every moment getting to watch my baby grow unlike having a full term pregnancy you dont, it was scary but i didnt really know what was going on until a week after having him and i finally broke down and realised what i went through, but thats what mums do i managed to keep strong for him through everything!, he was 2lbs and he is now 7 months old and 15lbs now! People still think he is only new haha but hes my special fighter, well i am pregnant again and my chances are higher to get eclampsia again, but as long as i have a healthy baby i dont mind, im closely monitored so im in the best place! :D good luck to any other mums out there going through what i went through and other problems and pray our babies will be okay x

it shouldn't scare you. have faith in yourself. you've made it so far.  and by the time your in labor the thought of anything bad happening will be gone. because your about to bring a beautiful little baby into this world.  like I stated, it wasnt to fear anyone. being humble is great, but all moms here have to and should know we are all strong enough to do WHATEVER we want. and delivering a blessing is definitely in the cards

I was pregnant at 18, gave birth after my 19ths birthday the risk are extremely high for young mums i had my baby at 31 weeks via emergancy c-section. it was horrible i had eclampsia and knowing you can have a seizure and possibley die or your baby is extremely scary but thank god me and my baby are ok, he spent 2 months in hospital (i did too) but loosing a baby is hard but loosing your life and ur baby growing up with a mum is much harder, i had tears in my eyes reading this, i feel for her baby and her family and wish a good life for her child. So sad :'( dont wish anything to happen to anyone not even an enemy :(

This Is So Sad :'( A Girl I Went To School With Died Right After Childbirth She Had Heart Problems But Still Wanted To Attempt A Vaginal Birth She Was 21 But It Was Too Much For Her. I Thought That Since I Dnt Have Heart Trouble I Was In The Clear. My Anatomy Professor Told Me That Hemorrhaging Is Very Common And A Leading Cause Of Death For Mothers Of All Ages. It's Really Scary!!! I'll Certainly Keep That Girls Family In My Prayers.  Good Luck Ladies!!!

That is not true. Younger moms are in their prime for having children. Your bodies are fully developed and ready to have babies..... Its the older your get the more it becomes a risk to women. What happened to her is so unfortunate, but it was probably due to an unknown complication. Ladies these things happen. Do not psych yourselves out.

There could be a lot of explanations for what happened to her, from her being so young or so tiny couldve been one of them, I just read that 25% of the problem is losing to much blood n hemhrroging (spelling? ) or something that wasnt pregnancy related n occured after giving birth, but prayers are with her baby n family, its a horrible incident try not to worry too much about it, im sure we will all be fine n prayers to everyone :)
