oral sex is not a risk for HIV no need to have taken a test. If you did have an exposure 1 week is to soon to get conclusive results.
Thanks he only reason I decided to do so was cough and pains, whilst reading this forum I have discovered symptoms are not a sign and oral is not a risk and even more not with use of protection.
I asked again as my cough re occurred and the forums stating the HIV Test result periods. i was unware the time and told via the clinic 2 weeks would give any results? not sure if I should ask another test if it was too soon?
The fastest and most conclusive test you can take is a 4th generatino DUO test at 28 days. No point in testing before then. As I said unprotected oral sex is NOT A RISK. You had Protected Oral sex which again is NO RISK.
Thank you for your help, anxiety just leads me to think it, have a good day,
lastly if its not a problem If i may ask, just for my knowledge this prep test is 72 hours after exposure, if im correct, how would a person know about exposure if the test are not detectable so early?
Kind regards and have a good day bobcat37
it takes 28 days for antibodies to form in your system for a test to dectect HIV. The DUO test is currently the only test that can detect HIV conclusively that early.
Thanks bobcat, As you said said unprotected oral sex is NOT A RISK and I had Protected Oral sex.
Thanks for the peace of mind and increasing my knowledge on the matter. and kindly taking time out to reply
Kind regards
