Is it possible for someone to have swollen nodes due to HIV 2 years in duration and be caused by HIV?

YES, Even if you had no symptoms at all you can still be infected. Testing is the only way of knowing.

So your saying the nodes being swollen would not be because of HIV then? But I need to test as I had unprotected sex?

You were told to test. Symptoms or the lack of symptoms won't tell you anything about your status. HIV has no specific symptoms.

I am not actually sure if I had a risk. 1 time unprotected sex with a friend who has told me she is clean!!!

Hi sorryformistake,

Unfortunately, if you had a risk, then it is possible.

But the only way to know for sure, is to test.

You have lived the past 2 years of your life in anxiety, is it worth it to live the rest of it in the same state?

Go get a test and settle this once and for all.

I though u was supposed to help!! All u seem to do is tell people to test. All I want to know is if swollen nodes for 2 years is something likely to be linked with HIV!!!!
