Thx for your comment Teak.
I followed your advise and took a HIV quicktest. It came out negative, which gives me a piece of mind.
Wondered if it isn't frustrating for you to answer all these longshots-hypothetically- hiv-positive-questions, considering you are hiv-positive. What keeps you motivated to keep answering them?
Kind regards,
Jochem
The only way to know that you have went through ARS is to test HIV positive and confirmed, other than that it wouldn't be ARS.
Well in that case, i'm quite lucky being ill for about 18 days now ;)
Thx Vance, you don't go into my comment about sources saying it's 2-6 weeks, maybe you can link your source about the 2-4 weeks, or is it common knowledge?
It can come on week 2 to week 4 after the infection and can last 1-2 weeks.
Another interesting question would be:
can we interpret 2-4 as: week2 + week3 + week4 or is it week2+ week3
some goes for 2-6
Hi Vance,
First of all: thx for your response.
The window period of ARS is described by several sources, some say it is 2-6 weeks, others say it's 2-4 weeks.
6 weeks is too late for ARS. Test at 3 months for a conclusive result.
Another symptom that has lasted the full period (18 days) is a sore throat, however it was quite less after 8 days of the first symptoms.
