An HIV antibody test at 3 months (12 weeks) is conclusive. The further you go along in the 12 week period and test negative, the more accurate your result is.
YEA for more accuracy and more negatives! I just worry because OF COURSE I still feel like I have symptoms which I pray is because I'm still WORRIED and nothing else. I'm taking another antibody test next week (6 week mark) for what I hope is a LITTLE more peace of mind. According to Dr. Hook that's probably all I need but I will of course do the 3 month test as well.
The only conclusive negative test is 3 months post exposure.
I have just given blood for my 12 week test- iv had 2 already in the window- 5 week and 7 week, both negative. I'm so scared.
i wanted to know how accurate would the test results be after 3 1/2 week after exposer . like percentage . cuz i got a negative
It's not... You know when you will be able to obtain a conclusive test result. Keep your questions in your own thread and quit hijacking other people's threads.
I know that symptoms don't neccessarily mean anything yet but I have been feeling positive until today. At the 3 week mark after unprotected vaginal sex with a high risk male who's partner is a sex worker in Mexico I began having bilateral red bumps on my ears, nausea, dizziness, sore throat, but I tested negative on RNA bDNA test at 22 days and negative on antibody tests and both 3 and 4 weeks. I know I have to wait 13 weeks to be sure but woke up today with two red lesions on each side at the back of my tongue, surrounded by white thrush. I'm assuming I should be even more worried now as this is casebook, right?
Unless you have been diagnosed with thrush by a doctor or dentist you don't have thrush.
I won't bother you anymore after this and thank you for your time thus far. Are the smooth red lesions on the back of my tongue indicative of hiv symptoms?
NO. Reread my other reply to you.
Thanks! Will just have to wait the 3 months. :(
