Aids or Hiv?

So bout 10 months ago I had unprotected sex and I had symptoms 7 days after which was a stomach virus but I did eat some spoiled sushi so it could have been from that but anyways. I tested that same day (7 days after possible exposure) and results was negative so they told me to come back 28 days later and tested it again and it was negative so I tested again 10 months later and it was still negative. Is their a chance I got my symptoms from someone with aids and not hiv? Cause you can't detect aids with a hiv test I heard. Btw I haven't had no other symptoms except a swollen lymph node under armpit which could be been a ingrown hair but that was after my second test and thats what encouraged me to test 10 months later.

"AIDS" is a diagnosis, not an infection that a test can detect.  It is a syndrome that occurs in people who have HIV.  Once a person is infected, antibodies will always be present and detectable - additionally, HIV does not progress to AIDS within 10 months.  Your recent test was reliable and accurate.  You do not have HIV.
