Used needle! HIV exposure?

I went to the Miracle Women's Medical clinic today, 5/10/11 in Van Nuys CAlifornia for an HIV blood test.
The  phlebotomist got a needle with a small hose attached to it the type the pokes your vain to with draw blood. I asked her, " Is this a new one? looking for precautions She looked at me and said, yes with an attitude. She asked if you want i can get another one. I said, please. She got the needle she had on her hand and apparently tossed in the hazard bin on her desk, but giving me her back. She open the drawer and ripped a new one, i didn't see her doing it because she gave me her back again!! she had an attitude! her job was to show me what she was doing if i doubt the 1st time it wasn't a sterile one. I am not the patient and who cares if she thinks i was being paranoid.

I am thinking,,either she faked the 1st time she throw it in the bin and i didn't see because she gave me her back and did the same when opeining a new one supposely! what happen is this chick took one out of the disposal bin that says"HAZARD! on porpuse because she got pissed off! anything is possible in this world. In case if she did, i could get infected with HIV or something else because needles are hollow. I think i should infor the manager of the clinic why she didn't show me again when she opened it! why would she give me her back??!

Very true! I just didn't like the fact that she turned her back on me the whole time she did this, tossing the needle in the bin and getting a new one, specially opening one and giving me her back. I would have show the patient what i was doing, but she refused that what has me angry. I really appreciate your in put Mich!

No matter how much attitude she dished out,she wouldn,t have used a re-used needle on you just to spite you.She would lose her job and the law suit against her would be huge.It never happened. You need not worry about this anymore.
