Hi. I’m a 50 yr old gay man and I’m very careful of my health until 8 days ago, i sucked a gay man whom I encountered in the gym. I don’t know his hiv status. I sucked him gently for few seconds( around 6 strokes). No deep throat. No Ejaculation. I’m not sure if he had pre ***. What I worry about now is I’m not sure of my oral health. I brushed my teeth around 2 hours before it happened. I’m not sure if my gums bleed. Really anxious and worried, I went to a clinic for PEP. Was tested negative for HIV, HEPA B and other STD. The nurse told me that my possible exposure is LOW RISK. He gave me a 2 drug regimen(TRUVADA) as PEP. Started my first pill, 39 hours after the possible exposure. Today is my 9th day of taking it. My questions would be: Do I need to worry about this LOW RISK activity? Is the 2 drug (TRUVADA) PEP regimen good enough for me? I’ve read in CDC that since 2013, WHO guideline for PEP has 3 drug regimen? Is the nurse doing the right thing? I’m very much worried now. Hope you can give light to my situation. Waiting for your reply. Thank you so much......HURL
