an test of HIV

i make  a test of HIV  AND THE  RESULT IS   .39  IS  THIS  MEAN NEGATIVE OR  POSITIVE  thanks for  answer

Your test results should say "non reactive".  Typically, the cut off for a positive test is 1.0.  Anything below that is a negative result.

I'm assuming this was a standard antibody test?

It's just a background signal in the assay- every assay has one. Anything below the cutoff is background. Only if the signal is above the cutoff is antibody present.

i want to  ask  is  every one   have   value  .1  ,  06  .40
from where  this  value  come  if  we are  negative  is the   value  must  be  zero or  what ?

i mean if we have  person healthy we   find   value  less than   one   why  we have  value it must be  zero

thanks for  answer, am straight man  but  i read the test  must  be after  3  month  and the result  will  be   cut off after  6 months   suppose i make  a test after 2 months  what is  accurate  of this result ??

The value is insignificant.  It would be different every time you tested, mans nothing.  Negative is negative.  Your result was negative, congrats!

i want to  ask   why  the  result  is    give  .39   whats this  mean   so  is  we  have antibiotic  for this  Vilnius in  our  body   i  mean  some one  have  .16  and  other  .30 and  other  .67  why we  have  different  number  is  it  must  be  zero  or  what

Yes as you were told negative. If the test was done at 3 months.

they  not put non reactive but  the result  like this  .39
the   normal  range   negative    = 1.00
this  mean  negative ??
