Information about hiv test.

I have taken hiv test in srl diagnostics in india.
Report was negative and test type was mentioned as hiv antibody test hiv 1 and 2,  serum.
Method was written as cmia.guy at lab was saying it's  a normal test and usually window period is 6 months. Even at base of report it was written 97% positive by 3 months.

I just want to know the type of test done. Since I not getting proper answer  from them. Can anyone tell me about this.
I got tested almost after 4 months of exposure.

Yes, it would have been mentioned, and a followup test would've been required.

You took the right test at the right time and got a 100% definitive result.

If it had been intermediate.. They would have mentioned it in report?
Please don't get irritated..I have been under lot of stress and I am Actly now free of hiv. only want to make sure. So I won't think about it later.
Yes they would mention as they will retest then!

You probably had a 4th generation ((DUO)) test. At four months even if you'd had a 3rd gen test it would be 100% conclusive.

Either way, all you need to know is that you are conclusively negative.

Okay..thanks for info..
Just one more doubt my lab report was like
result column - non reactive
lab refrence column - non reactive
Is non reactive universal word for showing person is not infected?
Just want to make sure I am reading my reports correctly.
