Please help

Dear Dr.HH,
I please check my earlier post which was replied by dr.Edward
"Very confused ....Please HELP!!!".

At the time of writting the above post I was quite tense and anxious, but for the last 4-6 weeks I have been very relaxed and I would also like to add that my relationship with my wife is very normal.

the only thing that has not change is sickness. Either I am sick or my wife is sick.

Since my last post, I have experienced sore throat and fever. Also, 2 weeks back I got up with Abdomen pain, Which was continuous in the middle and lower part. The doctor gave me gastrogel to take 10ml after each meal. It went away after 5-6 days of treatment. Now I am ok.

But my wife has lots of itiching in her vigina for last few weeks. sometimes she has it before and after her period. but this time its become very itchy and burns when she urinates. he periods are regular but last only  days & flow is scanty for last 3 months.

Today, we went to see her doctor to discuss her issues and she told her that it could be because of skin issues. (She had itching on her hands last year).

Also I saw my doctor to discuss all of my symptoms and get an expert opinion on the possible reasons behind our illness.

He has scared me to the grave. He said that he is worried about me because of the following reasons:

1. I had a sore throat - Sign of HIV (or other std).

1.1. You can have HIV and syphilis even with condon on because of contact with fluids?

2. In Australia, Prostitutes are not tested even in legal brothels.

3. he said "How can you trust a prostitue?" when I said that it the law for them to be tested every 3 months.

4. Numbness, tingling of hand & feet - Sign of Sphylis or HIV

5. Symptoms should have a reason behind them - he is worried that it could be HIV and would pray for me. (At this point I had my guts in my mouth and I was very low)

6. HIV people have NO sex at all (and Herpes).

7. Asked how my wife reacted.

8. Said if get tested and am +ve then, the wife will leave and no sex ever.

9. discussed my wife symptoms but did not make a comment as such bec she is not her patient and was not in the room.

10. advised me to get a full std test and keep my finger crossed.

Looking at his reaction one thing was clear that he was sure that I have HIV, because when I asked him of his opinion,
he kept on repeating "He is worried!!!"

I am relaxed and not panicing.

I never mentioned this episode before, but 10 years back, I had sex in thailand and the condom broke - exctly after 2 weeks i had shortness of breadth and severe back pains for 1wk then for 6-7 months. I tested 8-10 for a year and I was negative. I get nervous easily. (this was the first time I ever had sex and the mental pain i suffered cannot be expressed)

I had my veins in the back of my head compressed, causing pains.

You all must be wondering, why not getting tested and moving on?

I just cannot share that for now :(

I can only get test in after 6 months for HIV and for other STD I am getting tested this week.

Would you advise testing if in my case i.e. sex with condom on and my symptoms?

And other advise you should give?

Would you have tested, if it were you?

Are my symptoms related to HIV?

Am I the unlucky one, i.e. I have std and that causes symptoms for more that few months ?

Please help and reassure me.

1. you have 25 posts
2. you had condom protected sex
3. you have been advised by the doctors you didn't have an exposure.

Enough is enough. Seek professional mental help. You don't have HIV and didn't have a risk.

Hi Teak,

I have posted a new question on the expert community to the doctors. I by MISTAKE posted the question in this forum and I am sorry about that.

I just want the Med-help doctors to review my symptoms again and provide their valuable advise. I want to know if it would change with my new symptoms?

Also, I have noticed that many other people have started a new thread on your website and their queries have been answered with lots of attention by the expert doctors and good people like yourself. To be honest, I am surprised that you think that I should be given a warning about excessive postings. :(

Also, I am not sure why you think that my current posting is baseless, as In my above comments it is quite clear that I have been confused by the comments made during my current visit to GP.

One last thing, the comments you provide are valuable to the who need assistance, so please keep up your good work.

Thank you.

Some additional comments:

1. The doctor I visited today is different doctor with whom I discussed my issues with. He was a gynecologist and now works as a GP.

My earlier doctor recommended "No testing for STDs" and tested for Kidneys, Liver and Cholesterol etc. he said that as I have no swollen lymph nodes and infections in genital areas.

I go the either one depending on availability, both are good and professional but not much experienced in HIV.

2. I live in Australia.

3. I do not search for HIV on any other site but I read all of your and dr.Edwards comments.

I understand that your time is valuable and I hope that you can see my reasoning of writing to you again.

Please help.
