Bitten by a Human

Yesterday I went to Antwerp Pride. There was this outdoor party, and I was there with friends (no sex, no drugs involved, I was sober all the time).

I've been talking to a "pup" guy online. He is a nice person. I found him at this event. He was there with his partner. He gave me a hug, but then he bit me on the neck. He hurt me, so I asked him to stop. He stopped and then grabbed my arm, biting me again.

I looked into my arm, and I saw the marks of his teeth (apparently, he didn't break my skin). However, there was blood around the bite.

I don't know where that blood came from. My neck wasn't bleeding, and neither was my arm, so I believe that blood came from his mouth.

I am freaking out! I believe this can be considered an exposure to HIV. I don't know his status... I can still see the marks of his teeth on my arm (some light pink-ish lines, but still no evident signs of my skin being broken).

I was diagnosed with OCD when I was 17, so right now I am feeling terrible!

Please, help! Should I call my doctor and ask for PEP?

So, this event was not an exposure for HIV. The only risks for HIV are to have actual unprotected vaginal or anal intercourse or share IV needles to inject drugs.  Saliva and air both inactivate the virus.  The hug with bite on neck and arm would not transmit HIV.  Gotta ask. What's a 'pup' guy? They identify or act like a dog?

Thank you for your quick reply.

Here in Belgium there is a huge pup community. Pups are humans (mostly guys) that wear hoods that resemble dog heads. They also wear special gear and actually behave like dogs.

I spoke to that guy today. He told me that he had bitten his own inner lip when he was eating, so the blood must have come from that. He also said that he was "clean" (which was not the best choice of term, in my opinion), meaning he was HIV-negative. But... Can I trust him? I don't think so... I mean... My skin was compromised, and there was blood on his teeth.... This is scary.
you ignored the info I gave. There is no risk from what he did. He could have HIV and it would make ZERO difference. ZERO risk means you can't get it from that way. Period. It's not scary, you are just overly anxious. Don't blow it out of proportion and
