Lymph nodes

Can you normally feel your lymph nodes under your chin/neck area? I feel mine, like 2 of them, one on each side of my chin(under). I have kept touching them so now they are sort of sore. Can this be due to HIV? Are swollen lymph nodes noticeable to the eye?

The negative WB is all that counts & you have been made aware of this countless times. You really need to believe that result.

If you're at the point of suicide (which is insane, you do NOT have HIV!!!!!)....you need to go to your nearest hospital, right now.

no it doesn't take the wb longer.

you DONT have hiv.  accept your negative status and move on with your life.

So when the guidelines say that people test positive before 3 months, is that in terms of the antibody tests alone or is the WB included in that frame to? In other words, does it take the WB longer to become positve? Like 2-3 yrs?

you've been told that a negative western blot TRUMPS a positive antibody test.

there is nothing more to say

We can't be of any further help to you. You are beyond the scope of help this or any forum can provide.

Yeah, but all of those were rapid tests. THAT is the reason i went for a lab based one. My mind was NOT allowing me to accept their accuracy and the results they were giving (negative). Then, THIS is what the lab based one did to me...
No matter what, the WB would have been positive by now..is that what youre saying, nursegirl? I REALLY feel like im going through ARS now, with my armpits hurting and now my neck.
I hate to say this, but I am at the point of suicide. I cant handle this. The reason I have not gotten help yet is because i am unable to pay for it. Im a college student, no job..nothing. If i had the extra cash laying around, trust me, i would have.
I dont have money for another test, or believe me, I would have gotten that by now too.

You had NUMEROUS negative tests until you pushed the envelope and got a false positive one. The western blot confirms you were not infected.  WB trumps the positive result.

Again  (because I've already explained this to you too).......YOU cannot assess swollen lymph nodes.  I've been an RN for 18 years and it took me a LONG time and a LOT of practice to be able to distinguish between normal and inflammed.  A lymph node will almost always be palpable...just because you feel it doesn't mean it is swollen.  Again, YOU are not qualified to check your lymph nodes.

You delaying mental health treatment is only allowing you to stay stuck in the cycle of anxiety and irrational thinking.  YOUR choice, but there is NOTHING more we can do for you in this forum.  Everyone but YOU knows you don't have HIV...you don't see a problem there?

I DID have an exposure. I had unprotected sex 2 years ago. I tested positive with an Elisa test but negative with the WB, teak. I'm just looking for guidance. I seriously think my lymph nodes are swollen now

I've already told you what you need to do....you need to get professional help.  Continuing to ask HIV questions is not going to help you in any way.  Not to mention, this forum has rules, you just cannot continue to keep posting...you don't have HIV.

You have 37 posts on this and have been advised multiple times you didn't have an exposure. Move along, enough is enough.
