Call from the Clinic
Hi All,
I am just after getting a call from the clinic in the Uk where I got tested for HIV and STDs-
The nurse told me that they found something in my throat that needs to be treated.
The nurse did not say what they problem was but wants me to go to the clinic first thing on Monday morning.
I am terrified that this is the nice way of saying that I have HIV-
Could this be true or does anyone know what STDs would have to be treated from something in the throat?

Hiv is not a throat condition. Its a blood disease. They probably found a treatable STD, don't worry.
throat infections are very common so don't be too quick to jump and associate it with HIV until you get a confirmed result or your doctor tells you otherwise. Good Luck.

go monday and get your results...doubt very seriously that you have HIV from the exposure you described earlier.
