Can I be infected with HIV?
First of all, sorry for English, it is not my native language. I am very worried about being infected with HIV. A couple of months ago I accedentially stepped in blood on the street. Someone probably threw up there, it was still liquid. The local drug help is at that street and there are a lot of Junkies injecting Heroine in the street. I took my shoes off two minutes after I stepped into it and since I had a lot of Trouble that day I already forgot that I had stepped into foreign blood. What if I got blood on my fingers and then touched my mouth/nose etc?
Yesterday I had a regular blood test taken and it came back with high IgE Levels. Some Internet pages say that high IgE Levels can be related to HIV. Should I do a HIV test? Thanks for your help!

HIV can only infect inside the body. You had no risk which of course means no reason to test.
