Can someone explain why Oralsex isnt a much of a risk?

Being how this is an HIV 'prevention' forum, id find this to be an appropriate question to ask..
Why is oral sex considered a low risk?
And as it is called a 'low-risk'.. it is still stated as a risk.. What would make is risky of an HIV transmission?

As you can see from my previous post, im worried about this situation..
What if the person i recieved oral from, had oral with another male, then performed on me,
is that more of a risk?

thanks

Thanks for the very good advice and information!

It seems to be something many people are worried about on this forum.. (stressing that they have HIV from oral sex) And has been very stressful on myself aswell.
Ive never been educated in HIV, not until I felt that I put myself at risk..
I think that everyone thats sexually active, well even those that are not, should be educated on HIV and prevention. Whats risky and what isnt.. But obviously safe sex is the best way to go.. and the less stressful. I wont be so anxious if I used protection.

Thanks again. Happy Holidays.

Oral sex is low/no risk because there are many enzymes in the mouth that deactivate HIV.
It would be a risk if you sliced the organ and drank copious amounts of blood from it. Other than that scenario, if you aren't a vampire, there's no risk. There is a theoretical risk if the giver had heavily bloodied gums ( not a little cut or sore gums) and this is only theoretical. Best to use a condom always.

You can not get HIV from receiving oral sex. Receiving oral sex is no risk. Giving oral sex to a male from some good studies shows no risk...Dr's are a little more cautious still and say very low risk.

It doesn't matter what the person did before you, you were at no risk from receiving oral sex.
