Can you get HIV from toothbrush that had semen in it?

Ok so I live with a college roomate, and in the morning when he was in the bathroom he brushed his teeth and right after he was done brushing his teeth, i used his tooth brush like 30 seconds after he used it. It was was an accident , but the problem is that he had like bleeding gums , so let's just say he had HIV , is it possible for me to get it from him ?

Good thing you clarified your post b/c I was going to ask why in the heck someone would have semen on their toothbrush?  ;0)

You have nothing to worry about.  Even if he HAD HIV (which he most likely does not)...this presents ZERO risk to you.  The virus cannot infect outside the body, which is why this poses no risk for you.
