Chances of Contracting HIV

I had a moment of weakness and had protected sex with a sex worker who claimed to be clean while I was on a business trip in Russia. It has only been 3 weeks and I understand it is too early to get a test but I am paranoid and guilty and don't want to infect my wife if my stupid actions did give me HIV.

I don't feel any ARS symptoms and think it is more guilt than anything else that is messing with my brain.

Please advise.

if you were a woman...would you take a pregnancy test if you had never had sex?

Thank you for your prompt response. Teak, your answer is basically stating that I don't even need to bother getting a test for confirmation correct?

You were never at risk.

I forgot to mention there was some oral sex with no condom for a few minutes too. From reading this forum, it's guilt but my biggest concern is not getting my wife sick. I couldn't live with myself if something happened to her.

There is just so much information online that talks about condoms not being completely safe etc etc that it got me freaked out. Should I still get tested?

Thanks for the clear and quick responses. This forum is a great resource.
