Condom broke while inserting penis in vagina. Hiv concern

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I went to a Massage parlour. We had a sex, but the condom broke while I tried to insert my penis inside her vagina. This was a matter of few seconds, probably less than 5 seconds when I got to know about this and I simply removed my penis and put on new condom for protected sex. Can this short yet unprotected encounter could result in HIV.

If a condom broke and your penis was in her vagina unprotected, that is a risk. Yes, it was very short so minimal. Unprotected sex of normal duration is less than 1 percent chance of hiv transmission. This would be even less than that. But you will need to test at 28 days or beyond with a 4th generation duo test.

Hiv testing done after 5 weeks post exposure.

Got negative (non reactive result) of HIV-1 & HIV-2 antibodies.

Is this conclusive? Or should I take a retest after few more weeks?
Yes, that sounds like a 4th generation test and it is conclusive at 8 days and beyond. Conclusively negative!
