Constant clearing of throat - HIV?

Let's say you were infected with HIV a year ago.

In the period of 1 year since, if you had to constantly clear your throat, like there was mucous there and this problem lasted a few months, could this be related to HIV?

If the constant clearing of the throat could be labeled as post-nasal drip or sinusitis, would this be an opportunistic infection caused by HIV?

If you had a risk then you test--don't worry about your throat,if it's been causing you concern go see the doc.

just worried about it since i never had this problem before

and it has been going on for 3-4 months where i hae to constantly clear my throat

i read that HIV causes persistent infections like upper respiratory and sinusitis infections thats why i got scared

Symptoms can be very misleading. If you had an HIV risk get tested. And be sure to talk to your Dr. about your throat/nasal problems. Sounds like that could be a number of common things Drs. see every day.

No,symptoms appear after 2 to 4 weeks not a year.

how about symptoms within a year?

lets say your exposure was september 2011

it is now september 2012

in 1 year, could this be symptom of hiv? constant clearing of throat and post nasal drip

No,the classic symptoms of early HIV infection are very high fever,very sore throat and a rash on the chest,torso and limbs.

If you had a risk then you take an HIV test,you don't worry about clearing your throat--that won't tell you anything about whether you have HIV or not.

since 3-4 months, i always have to clear my throat. its like something is in the back of my throat causing me to constantly clear my throat
