risk of hiv transmission?please answer

hi.recently i was waiting at the bus station with my son. he found a needle on ground.it wasnt injector needle.ıt was some kind of pin or needle for sewing i can describe and when i was trying to get it, it plunged to my finger.some blood came out.i really wonder is there a risk of hiv transmission?please answer

This wouldn't be a risk because the end of the needle that went into your finger was exposed to air first. That inactivates the virus and makes this no risk.
