negative Combo Test at 82 days but still having symptoms!! Please help!!

Hello everyone,
I am 21 year old Male from India. I had protected sex with a csw on 23 july, 17 days after the incident I had high fever and sore throat, fever went in 2 days after the medications and sore throat lasted for 5 days.
I had Combo Test with CMIA method at 29,40,60and 82 days all came back negative but now I am having severe mouth ulcers and swollen lymph nodes behind the ears that are freaking me off.. so my question is
What are my chances of being positive despite my negative tests, I tested nearly around the window period for Antibody test and mine was combo test.
Please reply ..My studies are getting severly affected due to the stress and anxiety from last 12 weeks.

If you had protected sex, you were safe from STIs. All the tests were unnecessary and for some one with a real risk, that kind of testing is conclusive given the time frame. You have invested too much time symptom surfing and now relate every thing to HIV. You must accept your result, look at things rationally and put this behind and move on. Should it be difficult for you, please seek help for your paranoia. HIV is not your problem.

Thanks a lot sir, but the thing that really scared me is that swollen lymph nodes are there when there is some sort of infection in body but I am not experiencing any kind of illness , so having no reason for lymph node to swell...This thing freaked me out as I am having high stress due to my studies and other life activities, I am not able to concentrate on anything.

You had protected sex. You NEVER had a risk for HIV and did not need to test. All your tests have proven, conclusively, that you do NOT have HIV.
Symptoms are NEVER used to diagnose HIV. See your doctor for the symptoms you are continuing to experience but know they are not related to HIV. I wish you well.

Everyone's comments are correct. Non of HIV symptoms are HIV own symptoms. In fact HIV does not have any symptoms in some people upto 10 years being infected.

Dont think you hiv from your symptoms. only test can confirm it. for 3rd generation test, it is 3 months(90 days) and for 4th generation it is 6 weeks(45 days). And i got to know from doctors that there are even 22-28 days conclusive result test. and some are even 9 days result. unluckily i am not if RNA test are available in India. So 4th generation test result at 82 days is more accurate to 100% unless or until you have under go any radiation or cemo therapy. or on hep c vaccination.

Even 1% risk after 90 days is what theory says in HIV tests. So come on put your mind easy, and enjoy your life. you don't have super duper white blood cells or immune system to produce antibody in next 8 days. if you were infected, you would have got sick after 6-8 weeks.

why i am saying this much is because, i had unprotected anal sex and it is the most risky way to catch hiv. my partner whom i was living together for last 8 months, just one time unprotected anal sex put my scared for 3 months. even my girl told me that she have nothing and even she have proven herself with her hiv negative result right in front of my eyes. still my mind was so scared and could not take it at all. now it is 20 week post exposure and i tested negative at 13th week and i am completely okay. but then i feel that i have lost 3 months for worrying for  nothing.

it is good, you are scared and you are trying to have safe sexual intercourse. never ever have unprotected sex (anal and vaginal) you are free from any hiv on you.

thanks a lot sir for sharing your story, I also sometimes think that some of these symptoms are anxiety driven such as having sweaty palms, pain in elbow, shoulders sometimes , feeling dizzy due to over thinking and much more...
Just one thing I wanted to confirm that I had vaccination of hep b in childhood but I guess there is no secure vaccination for hep c and only antiviral therapy is available so the person having hep c will be aware of that. Wouldn't he?
Iam myself a biotech student so I am familiar with the complications of the immune system and things can happen randomly, that thought comes in my mind and keeps moving...
As you told, I have also wasted my last 3 months due to trying this little adventure type thing and the paranoia regarding it, iam trying to overcome it.
Anyways I will have one more test on this Friday and will post my results here in any case...

See hep c in childhood is nothing to do with your symptoms now. Literally everything what you are saying what I faced. In the company where I am working, we have internal doctors too. There are days I go to them twice in a day to check my body temperature. I had sore throat and many more. Nothing was really hiv. It driven from my worried and scared of being unfected. Even almost booked my flight ticket from Mexico to go to USA just test hiv. Unfortunately in Mexico 3rd generation Elisa is the highest test and it need 3 months window period. Fortunately I met a doctor who is hiv specialist and he told that I have no hiv and those symptoms are driven by my mind. You are lucky and there are 4th generation test is available in India at max cost of 4000 rupees. 45 days are the max for 4th generation and only 1% you have to retest because of those current antiviral therapy and other by birth immune system issues. Friday or Saturday or Monday you will have negative results for 100% sure.

you are right, this anxiety, stress and paranoia literally affects the mental health of the individual in this type of situation, .in India, due to modified patent laws in Medicare , the innovations and advancements in medical fields is very high and at very low cost.
In fact the combo test I had at a private laboratory Dr lal path labs cost me 8 dollars or 480 rupees. We are very thankful to laws for that.
But again the anxiety kills, really, but felt very nice and received after reading your personal experience.

Mental health is more likely dangerous than hiv itself. Being human now a Days we have only 80-85 years to live. Frankly speaking I was not worried about hiv or anything until one of my close friend who is just to be 32 years lost his life to cancer and his 30 years old wife and children are without husband and father. Don’t be very thankful to me I am just sharing my experience and I feel good to do that. 3 months if anyone life may sound so little but when we are in world where nothing is for sure I feel and felt it’s important to enjoy everything that comes our life. If you will feel relieved and good after message I will be the most happiest person in the world. Unfortunately medical world don’t work in the way our engineers world’s world works. For us everything is numbers and it real time we will see them but medical world doesn’t know what will happen to your body and health next hour. Be happy and confident as you were used condom during sexual intercourse and it is 100% safe as far as no condom break. Condom break are not like we think it is something you will see your bare eyes. Nothing such in your case. Be happy and enjoy every moment in your life. You will be thinking yourself silly and stupid after you see your negative result after Friday and you will start to think oh I was so stupid and scared. Yes that is what is happening with me now. Anyways always practice protected sex and stay way from virus that something you and me engineers developed.

hello there, I tested today 96th day after my exposure again with combo test, the result was negative with index number 0.2,
It is confirmative for me but the anxiety is still here and I have to fight it on my own,
