Yeah I have seen Hiv specialist , had almost all stds test . I also have done a lot of research and there are only few cases documented taking longer then the window period. Thats why now I am just trying to let it go.. will have one final test until next year and put it behind me. But anxiety was making it worst so just take your test after 3 months and it should be very reliable
wow man ! I hope everything goes well ! but nine month I think is more than enough proof !! I been doing some research you can say you're 100% good ! but please keep me post it ! I will like to heard the good news from you !
Well I received unprotected oral and protected sex from a prostitute. My symptoms started with fatigue, swollen lymphn nodes, ear pain and ear ringing, itchy anus and armpits, fungus on my big toes of both my feet, and a few more... way too many symptoms. .. and after 9months of testing I still have a little doubt in the back of my head. I have had 3 negative elisa test LAB test not quick ones and 1 HIV RNA TEST undetectable still negative. So I been stressed out but anxiety just makes it worst.
I completely understand your anxiety. I went through the same exact thing and im still dealing with this as of today... if you want to make sure for your own peace of mind, take a hiv antibody test at 3 months. Experts on this forum and the CDC recommend that. They also say that receiving oral is a low risk but I still tested myself for my own peace of mind way past the "window period" try not to think about it too much because anxiety is going to make it worst.
what do you think about the 3 months mark ?
Thanks again ...I hope that once all this is gone ! I would definitively help others just like you did with me ! because over the past two months I haven't been able to concentrate in normal daily task.... is very frustrating !
I know. I've been there. I had a no risk encounter once (insertive oral/got a blow job) and I had every symptom in the book 12 days after. Fever, sore throat, swollen glands, diarrhea, fatigue and headaches. I swore I was an extremely unlucky one that got it this way. I was advised by my own mother, doctor, website educators like MedHelp and a clinic Sex educator that it's not transmitted that way.
I didn't believe them.
Sure enough, I took a test 2 weeks after my symptoms began, and it was negative. The negative, all though not three months obviously, proves my symptoms were not due to HIV. You need to believe the facts and not what your mind tells you.
All is well.
Thanks man !! you know is a bit difficult to think different because of the symptoms ! ..
In adults, HIV is transmitted by:
Unprotected Anal/Vaginal Sex
Sharing IV drug equipment
Direct blood contact as in infected blood transfusions.
Uses condoms for vaginal and anal sex, and you will avoid HIV infection.
