ELISA test

Hi All

Last month I had taken a medical check up, I still remember the ELISA test was delayed about one and half hour after blood sampling due to the labarotary technician overlook the request column. Please find my question below

1) do the one and half hour delayed influence the test result?
2) I am not sure which generation they are using , does it matter?
3) My result is negative after 13 weeks exposure is it conclusive enough?

Your elisa is looking for antibodies and it makes no difference to your test results even if you did all those above things.

with refer to no.1. it seems HIV antigen (for ELISA test) could withstand for long period after taken out from human body?

In addition, may I know what should do and dont's before blood sampling for ELISA test for HIV? e.g. fasting, take medicine, smoking, sufficient sleep, no fever etc....

Thanks getitright77 and Hope242,
