I have a strange situation that I would like to share

Hello there,

I have a strange situation that I would like to share. About 1.5 months ago I went for a massage. I am a software engineer and get headaches from my work, so I get massages al the time. Where I live in Asia, massages are a cultural norm. There are massage places absolutely everywhere. I was receiving a massage on my neck and the woman giving it was very small and sitting on my back. As the massage continued I noticed that it started to get wet on my lower back where she was sitting. I didn't think to much of it, as it was a little hot - but a point came where I had to ask her to stop. It was all rather disgusting. I rolled over and she sat over me as she massage my front side.

1-2 days after this massage I started to experience severe burning on my skin all over my body. My hands and feet are sometimes a little numb and I often feel as if I am sun burned on my stomach, back and neck. The feeling has been going on for 6 weeks or so. I feel fine otherwise but this feeling is rather strong, especially the feeling of tingling on my hands, feet, arms and legs. If I am completely honest, I am experiencing are high degree of anxiety about the situation, as it was rather unpleasant, and, I made the big mistake of googling symptoms, which put my anxiety into turbo mode.

Is there any chance of anything being transmitted via the encounter I mentioned? I am uncertain what the moisture was from the woman, but there seemed to be a bit on my lower back. I plan on going for a check up in a month, when enough time has passed since my encounter.

Thank you for your assistance.

The only risks for HIV are to have unprotected vaginal or anal sex or share IV needles to inject drugs. Air inactivates the virus. Moisture whether simple sweat (likely all that was) or vaginal fluid on your back or front does not transmit the virus. You didn't have unprotected intercourse. (which requires full penetration). Zero risk

This is what I figured. I guess there is a boat load of anxiety related stuff going on there. I think this forum is great. Thanks GuitarRox!
