Thanks again. I just worry because there is so much conflicting literature on HIV survival in the environment.
No, This wouldn't have changed the prognosis. Trust me, if this was of any concern at all, people would have been all over this like flies on rice. You should not be worried at all.
I realised I wasn't exactly clear in my first post. I make it sound as if I am worried about bodily fluids from when the bags were made or something like that. My main concern is that somehow bodily fluids got into the box of plastic bags before it was put out on the counter (could have been right before I came in, judging by the amount of bags that were there). Which means that the fluid was only there for like 5-10 minutes. Does this change the prognosis at all?
Also, some of the forum members often state that temperature changes "cause the outer shell of the virus to rupture." Is there a source for this? I haven't been able to find anything anywhere.
Thanks a lot for the reassurance!
If anyone else wants to weigh in, they are more than welcome to do so.
No , I am not screaming. OCD, Anxiety we all have it in our own way. Were not perfect. You weren't at any risk. Some how potato chips made there way in on my mind I guess. No risk.
Whoa, mate. I think you have me confused for someone else.
Trust me, I get absolutely no "fun" out of this, and I have no idea why you think I'm playing some sort of game. I also have never made a mention of potato chips or keetones (whatever they are).
I am well aware of my OCD and HIV anxiety, but to me this actually seems to be a bona fide risk - which ironically happened to someone with anxiety. Semen in mucous membrane - it seems to be rare, but it does happen.
Honestly though, I came here for reassurance and support, not to be screamed at and threatened.
Look, you are talking about a bag of POTATO CHIPS. You are not talking about a real life risk period. You talked about a paper cut, you talked about keetones. They do have a OCD forum on here if you did know. I will explain nothing else to you. You just want to play games and have fun where you shouldn't be. Keep it up and you will be report to MEDHELP. Read the guidelines, you are breaking them now. Stop.
Please explain how, if this were semen, it would be a no risk situation, considering that it was still in fluid form and made contact with a mucous membrane.
You should refer back to your post on august 24th. Stop playing games over no risk situations please.
