HIV Transmission

When I was 6/7 years old I saw a condom on the floor, didn't know what it was so I picked it up and then threw it back on the floor, I don't remember what I did after. I'ts been near 10 years now and I haven't had symptoms and my country had a 0,5% of infected people back then. Can I be infected in case I touched my mouth, eyes, etc. after? Please help I'm loosing it.

You're welcome.

And please don't pick up any more "icky" stuff, OK?

HIV can not last 20 years without a sign. If left untreated, HIV can make you sick within a few years. Early treatment can prevent HIV from ever becoming full blown AIDS.

And again, you NEVER had a risk.

I tought HIV could last 20 years in you without a sign.. I knew that if I had a risk it would have been a very small one, but thank God it was 0% then.. Thanks for your help RubyWitch :)

Yes, I am sure. If you HAD been infected, after 10 years of untreated HIV, you would be very sick or more likely not with us any longer.

You never had a risk, which is 0%, and can stop worrying about this now.
