Fingertip wounds leading to HIV infection

Hello everyone, I am gay. Yesterday, I went on a date with a netizen. When we first met, we used a rapid reagent to check each other's HIV status, and both of us were negative. But for safety reasons, I still took Prep and after an hour and a half, we had sexual contact. I am the top, and I have accepted his oral sex, protected anal sex, and prostate massage with my hands. I know that protected anal sex is not risky. What worries me is that after five to ten minutes of rapid testing, I inserted my finger into his anus and made finger contact with him. My finger had a needle sized wound left by the previous test. I would like to know if there is a risk of HIV infection from a fingertip blood collection wound inserted into the anus a few minutes ago. I have asked my doctor, and he believes that I do not need to undergo PEP, but should complete the pre (211 method). I would like to ask if the behavior I just described will cause me to become infected with HIV. Thank you

I am very surprised any doctor would give you PEP for what you describe. The only risks for HIV are to have unprotected vaginal or anal intercourse or share IV needles to inject drugs. Fingering is ever a risk even with a wound (needle sized? ). Air inactivates the virus. You never had a risk. You never needed pep. Your doctor is correct, pep is inappropriate for this and you should move on from this worry.

I'm sure you know the meaning of the word "only" in the advice but your new post makes it seem as if you don't. Move on.
