I had unprotected sex with a lady on 5th of april,3weeks later i started having hiv symptoms,my lymph nodes in my groin started swelling and painful also.i was also fatigued for some days and i had fever and sore throat.i am so scared.tried getting to the lady,she said she is clean,that she had a test two month ago.so on 16th of may she had a test done and it came out negative,my question is...is she ok to do a test on the 42day...

If you test any time after 28 days post exposure (which you are) with a 4th generation DUO, the results will be conclusive. You should consider being tested for other STI's as well.

Thanks for your reponse,I will test also for STI's too.i dont know which generation she used to do the test,all i wish to know is,if the test she did is reliable on that 42day,because i dont know which generation was used to test or mayb it was a rapid test

I think I misunderstood. I thought you were asking if it was OK for YOU to test on the 42nd day, not the woman. But yes, it's OK for her to test then as well with a 4th generation DUO. I just don't believe the testing responsibility should be entirely on the woman...….
