Thank you Jean Claude,
you are very helpful, i know that nothing is going to relief me 100% until i have my 3 month test ... because my exposure was unprotected sex with a male of unknown status that refuses to get tested.
thank you for being there for everyone that needs it.
I bet he's also seen hundreds of people with a rash but NO HIV. If your exposure was truly "High Risk", your NEGATIVE @ 5-6 weeks is HIGHLY UNLIKELYto change. You should NEVER attempt to diagnose HIV through the presence or absence of ANY symptoms. There are many reasons for a persistent rash, the vast majority have NOTHING to do with HIV. AN HIV (ARS) rash is a very specific type of rash that does NOT persist for more than a month.

Thank you JC
so how accurate is a 5 to 6 week test in that case?
I went to see a Dr today( he is an std Dr. in Dubai and he checked my rash that is not going away ... and he said he doesn't know what it is ...
I told him i had a High risk exposure and he told me during all his career he saw only one guy with HIV and didn't have a rash ...
this is driving me crazy ... now i have to wait for another 6 weeks and have to travel again in order to get tested ... but until then i am going mad.
my rash is there since the 22nd of nov ... more than a month for a viral rash?
A Combination Ag/Ab test is a 4th Gen. Test which is designed to detect both HIV antigens (Ag) during early HIV infection and Antibodies(Ab) produced in response to antigens later on .
