In the US, the 4th generation DUO test at 28 days post exposure is standard and considered conclusive. Many people take a repeat test at 6 weeks if THEY need peace of mind, but we've not seen ANY test revert to negative during that 2 week period. You are correct about the testing period for the UK and Germany and you have now told us it is the same for Brazil. (The CDC has always been and probably always will be conservative)
As you see, testing again at 8 weeks was unnecessary as the results had not changed as you were already told they were conclusive at 4 weeks. BUT...……...if that is what you needed to do for peace of mind, I'm glad you did and can NOW move on. I'm sure the lesson you learned will stick with you as I'm sure you never want to go through this again. I wish you the best.
Since you went to a lab and had a Roche 4th generation antibody and antigen blood drawn test at least 28 days post exposure, your results are conclusively NEGATIVE and you do NOT need to test again. Play safe out there, OK?
You took a 4th generation DUO test at 34 days post exposure and the result was CONCLUSIVELY NEGATIVE. You can move on. (Hopefully with a condom in your pocket!)
Due to anxiety lost around 10 pounds and could not sleep anymore...did not feel any ars symptoms during this time.
