Risk and testing DUO at 27 days

Hello,

I am male, from Germany.
Had unprotected vaginal intercourse two times on some day in October. Was diagnosed with chlamydia and Gonorrhoe after 12 days.

27 days later took an duo Test which came back negative. Doctor is not worried.
38 days later took a finger brick AB self test also came back negative.

based on the exposure and the results, should I have another test?

Thank you!

Hopefully from now on and ever more you will use a condom if you are having intercourse, vaginal or anal, with a stranger.  Your test at 27 days is unlikely to change although 28 days is the window. I would not worry about that. And this is confirmed by your AB self test at 38 days. That's also a 4th generation test.  You do not need to test again and should trust your negative result.

Hello, nice to get your reply! In fact it was 27 + 12 hours.
But it is new to me that a home testing with rapid finger brick is a 4th generation test?

What is the name of the test you took?  Having unprotected sex in a one time situation like you describe, even though it was twice (once with each person)----  is still less than 1 percent transmission.  I would not retest.
It’s AUTOTEST VIH by RATIOPHARM.
Well, I don't recognize that test (it may be used in your country not mine--- you have the packaging so you will have to do your own homework) but most at home finger prick tests say only to confirm in a lab if you test positive.  You had a 4th generation duo test that was negative and it's right on the bubble of being completely conclusive. Your risk was low.  You had a finger prick test negative.  I would not test again but that is up to you.
Thanks again. It is truly not mentioned on the packaging.
It’s only one of maybe a handful which are allowed in Europe though.
Thanks for your comments!
