Teak, Lizzie Lou - Blood on Towel

Hello Teak/Lizzi,

I was at the gym and ended up using a towel to wipe off myself and realized there was blood on the towel.  It was the size of a quarter in diameter.  At the same time i had a pimple which ended up getting popped and bleed slightly.  The towel did touch the pimple.

Now if the blood on the towel was hiv pos blood and came in contact with my bleeding pimple was i at risk for HIV?

I had the towel with me for a couple of minutes before use, so i am unsure of exactly how old the blood was.

Thanks.

Fresh or dry, if the blood is exposed to air it is inactive and unable to infect. You have no worries.

Thank you Lizzie you are great help.  Last question - Does it matter if the blood was fresh because i thought blood is infectious.  Sorry, but i am just not very educated about this.
