HIV Concern

2 weeks ago I had protected sex with a girl in Uganda, East Africa. She was a casual sex worker. Apparently the hiv rate is very high there (about 5%). It was protected sex and the condom didn't come off or break. Now, 2 weeks later I have flu-like symptoms, but rationalise that may not be related to the sexual encounter. Should I be concerned that I have hiv?  Thanks.

When u wore condom then its fine buddy u have no risks. Protected sex is to make sure that none of STDs are entering in to your body.

But next time dont have even oral sex as u know the %ge brings u risk.

You had protected sex.  Condoms are extremely effective at preventing HIV infection.  You did not have a risk in this situation you bring to the forum.  Assuming you have had no other risks, your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV.  Keep using condoms for anal/vaginal intercourse until such time as you are in a monogamous relationship with someone who is conclusively HIV negative and you will avoid HIV infection.  Good luck!
