HIV 82 days negative!

Hi everyone! Here are my questions:

1) Is 82 days post exposure Elisa test 100% reliable? No need to test again at 13 weeks?

2) Is the Elisa testing method used the same worldwide?

Go ahead and retest in a week if you'd like.  My point was...this close to the window period deadline, it's not going to change.  Virtually all newly infected people test + well before the 3 month cut off.  Most are diagnosed within mere weeks of the exposure.  The tests are very sensitive.  You can pretty much bank your result.

If you choose to retest in another week, that's up to you.

82 days is conclusive--you don't require further testing.

What makes you think it won't change in a week? Then why is the recommended window period is 3 months not 2.5?

It's not going to change in a week.   What was your exposure anyway?
