Hi All,
I'm a usually Hetrosexual male but about 11 weeks ago, after a very drunken night out, I engaged in a sexual encounter with another male. The encounter involved fingering, oral and rimming (both on each other) as well as a very brief moment where I inserted into his anus unprotected( less than a minute and only like three thrusts as I panicked and it wouldn't insert properly)
I am racked with guilt and anxiety and so a four days later visited a clinic and had a full screening where all the results came back negative.
After 3 weeks I had a standard finger prick test for HIV which also came back negative.
At 4 weeks I had a Biolytical HIV Insti Test which also was a negative and also a Chalmyida and Gonnoreha screening which also came back negative.
At 5 weeks I had a Syphallis test which came back negative!
At 6 weeks I had a 4th Gen Duo HIV test which came back negative
At 7 weeks I had a further Gonn and Chlam urine test which came back negative
The health nurse at the clinic told me that i didn't have to come back but for the sake of my anxiety, i should come back a few weeks later just to ease my own mind! I held out for as long as I could but my anxiety got the better of me and I went back at 11 weeks ( this week) and the nurse said this would be the last time she would test me for this exposure and that I really didn't have anything to worry about as she was 99.9% sure I am not at risk from anything.
She only tested for Syphillis and HIV as she said thats the only risk I had left ( although she said the chances of a postive result were now almost zero!)
The question I'm asking is, after my previous negtive HIV and Syphillis results at 5 and 6 weeks, how likely are my results to change to Postive? Does this happen often?? Am I pratically safe or should I still be deeply worried? Help Please!
