HIV transmission through piercing needle?

Hi im 22 male. My girlfriend has a piercing on her lip. But she things that the needle and syringe which was used to numb lips were not clean while she was getting pierced. 2 weeks after getting pierced, she experienced flu like symptoms. Can these symptoms be acute hiv symptoms?

Thanks.

am i getting wrong, you said 2 weeks is not enough for the virus to be active?

No, nothing like that is reused and even if something happened to be reused (but not going to happen), the time frame would not allow the virus to be active.
