HIV worry

Hello, a few weeks ago i had unprotected sex with a friend, he told me he was clean but I didn't trust him, I'm now pregnant with his baby but he didn't fully ejacualte inside me it was only pre cum. What are the chances of me contracting HIV if he was infected.
Thank you.

Any unprotected insertive vaginal or anal sex poses a risk of HIV.
I suggest you get tested at 28 days post your exposure with the 4th generation DUO. Most especially since you are now pregnant.

Pre cum itself does not contain sperm, but as the pre-ejaculate leaves the mans body, it may pick up sperm from a previous ejaculation that remains in the urethra. Numerous studies have found small clumps of sperm in the pre-ejaculate fluid of some men. Though only a few hundred sperm were present, they could still pose a risk of pregnancy. It only takes ONE!

Please see your doctor immediately for testing and counseling.
I wish you the best.

What are the chances of catching HIV from only one exposure?

The chances could be slim, but are you willing to take that risk for you and the baby you're carrying?

That's a question only you can answer.
