I am a familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) patient. 10 months ago, my rheumatology doctor gave intravenous cortisone and I used 1 box of prednol. I had HIV combo test last week. Will the cortisones I used 10 months ago affect the HIV combo test?
I had a connection with unprotected ecort. I had a combined test on day 50 and it was negative. I bought serum cortisone and 1 box of cortisone pills 10 months ago. Do cortisones affect test time? does it give wrong results please help
I did unprotected vaginal and did the HIV combo on day 50. Negative. then the symptoms started fever, sore throat, leg pain, cough I'm afraid cortisone serum and cortisone medication will affect the result
A combo test is conclusive after 4 weeks so you don't have hiv. hiv docs can't diagnose from symptoms and your situation is a classic example of why. It is time to move on from hiv fears. The cortisone would not affect the test, but next time you take any test and have questions about medication, ask the clinic or test manufacturer if your meds will affect the test results.
This has been a lot to get to the point of redirecting you to the original answer that has not changed. NO, cortisone does NOT affect your test. Your conclusively negative.
