I think there might be something wrong with this...

I was reading an online chat where a girl told a doctor if it was true that HIV was originally transmitted to humans because some people would have had intercourse with another primate specimens infected with an equivalent. The doctor said no, that it was transmitted because people were eating virii-infected primates therefore they got infected. Now, if I have learned something from this site is that the ONLY ways to get HIV are either by sexual intercourse, using hypodermic needles used by HIV- carrying persons or by mother to child, then I have to conclude that there is something fishy. What's going on?

Nobody is lying.  The doctor wasn't lying; he was right.  Teak wasn't lying; he was right.

Nobody needs a counter response from you.

^ Who said I don't believe him? At least, less than anyone else? I wanna believe in him, trust me, but I've suffered too much perfidy through my whole life to trust ASAP. His profile says he was a paramed, tho', so he has a big advantage over most people I know.

I'm not saying that he's lying, either. I think that THE DOCTOR was lying because of some reason, God knows why, but I need more back up to counter her point by mail!

Why would you care what Teak says anyway?  You won't believe him when he answers you.

There are theories of how the HIV virus originated in humans.  What scientists do know is that the virus "jumped" species, probably from chimpanzees in West-Central Africa.  There are different arguments as to how it occurred.

All that is irrelevant though.  What is relevant is that you can only get it from other humans in three ways:

(1) unprotected anal sex
(2) unprotected vaginal sex
(3) IV drug works

Nobody is saying anything that contradicts what Teak has said over and over again in this forum.

^ Hey you, no need to be so rude. My question has nothing to do with the other question I made the other day. I just feel that doctor is covering something up, but I know you know more than me about this and you can help me battling ignorance. I just want to know why did she give an answer that goes against what you say. That's all.
