Worried scared
I am a 27year old make. Had unprotected sex with a lady 16days ago. At day 8, started experience leftsided headache, later had waste pain and what i think is a swollen gland on the left side of my neck. No fever,rash. A little peeling on palm and feet. So Scared. Feeling little pain on jaw just below left ear. Taking treatment for thyphoid. Just want to comfirm if these are ars symptoms. Must one have fever wit ars? Will treatment for thyphoid affect the symptoms? Are swollen lymph nodes in ars generalised (as in neck, groin, armpit) at the same time or one after another. Or is localised to a part. Your responce will be well appreciated. Thanks
Wot if i'm feeling swollen lymph nodes now on my groin and my thigh. Dry mouth and slight headache. Peeling palms and feet. Slight pain on chest. I'm so confused.
Anxiety is causing your symptoms. Ars normally start at 2 to 4 weeks not 8 days.
Thank u for all your supportive responces. My answer to those questions are no. I believe that i should just stop worrying and get tested in due time. Pls if you know much about swollen lymph nodes in ars, do they swell same day or one at a time until they all swell. Are they painful and visible. Please respond. Thank you
Do you have reason to believe the woman was HIV+? Did you have any open sores, such as herpes or syphilis, on your penis when you had sex with her. Are you uncircumsized? Did you notice any bleeding from either you or her during sex? If your answer to all these questions is no, I would say your chances are very, very low. We can't rule out hiv for sure, because, as with anything in life, even the smallest of chances sometimes come true. But I don't think you need to lose any sleep over it. Just use protection from now on and get tested in a couple months when your window period is over.
Thanks alot . I'm so worried and freaked out. My mouth is dry i believe due to anxiety. I just hope to survive the time before testing. "HIV can nt be ruled out" that gets me scared. No sore troath,no fever, no rash, no diarrhea, i pray my test comes negative.
Wait another 9.5 weeks (some would suggest another 5.5) and get yourself checked. Symptoms don't really tell because they could be out of worry but HIV couldn't be ruled out here since you had an unprotected sex with somebody else whose HIV status had been unknown.
Sorry to bother you. I was worried if these symptoms are ars? When can i get tested as this is just 2.5weeks. Do lymph node swelling in ars occur same time or do they come one after the other until they all swell. Thanks
We don't discuss symptoms. HIV has no specific symptoms the only way to know your status is by testing.
