Needle prick

I was at the Laboratory for my yearly checkup
the man there opened  a new needle in front of me but while opening the needle pinched/pierced to his finger.

HE threw that needle and took a new one to take sample.

now my question is that
"during drawing blood sample the cotton which he was holding in his hand to wipe out some blood , after taking sample of me , was  contaminated with his blood ( due to the needle pinched to his finger just 2-3 mins before) , pose any threat to me as his finger got pinched  ?
plz ***** my scenario by considering that person to be HIV+.

HIV is a very fragile virus outside the body and will cease to live ocne it leaves. The conditions need to be 100% perfect.

You can stop asking for additonal opinions.  None of the regulars on this forum (Vance, Lizzie, me or others) will have any different opinions or advice than bmthbloke did. Nobody in the world ever caught HIV from such events. Believe it, accept it, and move on without worry.

Even if the cotton contaminated with blood drops was just on/at the point from where blood was drwan doesn't pose any risk?

My worry is that if the cotton was containing some of his blood used to clean the blood that bleed of my elbow after the blood sample was drawn.

And if he is HIV+ , does it pose any threat to me?
