I slept with a hiv positive girl on friday, without a condom, i had slept wth her before with a condom but this time i did not use one we were drunk, we tested today, i was negative and she was positive, (the test was confirmed) I Have been put on PEP combivir and Stocrin on the 70th hour after the sexual encounter, it hapened on friday night at 10pm ive been put on PEP on monday evening at 7pm the doctor says the effect is 20% at 70hrs but 90% at 8 hrs, unfortunately this is has been my luck!!!!!

The girl will check her viral load tomorrow and let me know! She says she has no STDS , i got tested for stds on sunday including a hiv test, cause my cousin mentioned to me the girl may have HIV

To make matters worse i came inside her without a condom.!!!!!!!

She says she did not know she had it, but my cousin had an idea she did, she says she had a scare a yr earlier!!!!! but did not know she had it!!!!!

To make matters worse her babys father slept with her a month n half a ago which means that they may be reinfecting , she got a child 10 months ago and says the child is fine!


Im so confused i feel im at the end of the earth, I only slept with her without  a condom once and second time lasted five minutes and got turned off so i did not come


What are the chances and how do i handle this situation. Is this PEP effective and secondly the chances of contraction?

Combivir are in a big box, stocvir is fine as its already in a container.

So I need to get a container for the combivir? obviously

Seconly im going for a PCR test on wednesday  or thursday

Just pack your meds in the labelled containers, that's all you need to do.

Thanks, This PEP medicines are very strong, I have not been to work, I tend to feel as though my stomach is getting warmer and the side of my stomach hurts, It has reduced as i eat more food.

I travel soon, is it ok to pack the meds in my bag, will i require a doctors note?

Its not a game! but im really worried, I dont know much, My friend a lab tech has suggested i see him on monday which is 11 days after the incident he says he would like to do a PCR and monitor me from then on

In the meantime ill get on with the medication and my life

We don't play a guessing game, but I can state a fact that HIV is not "easy" to aquire, but on the flip side it can take one time.

That what i took last night one combivir and one stocvir

12 hrs later just one combivir (morning)

and in the evening ill have combivir + stocvir

What do you think of my case being that we had sex for 10 minutes, where i ejaculated, and secondly 5 minutes and did not ejaculate as was turned off??????

Nurse girl says there is a chance i may not be infected. I presume i have to test six weeks after PEP which means if i started PEP last night 23rd , my PEP will end on 23rd of July. I can test on the 6th of augast.

Just spoke to my pharmacist she says

the labelling on the drugs was wrong !!! and that i had done the right thing!!!!

I took one combivir last night with one stocrin

in the  morning i took one combivir

and in the evening ill take one combivir and one stocrin


The pill i took this afternoon is actually an extra pill i shud not have taken

instead of two combivir, my mind was not right, mind this is at the 70th hr

This morning at 7am i had one combivir, but at 1pm i realised and have had the other

Ill resume medication at 7pm 2 combivir and a stocvir

Did i mess up very badly?? I was confused last night i dont know how it happened

Prep is not given after an exposure. You can obtain a conclusive test result 3 months post your last dose of nPEP.

If you would like to go to the US government site on Aids prevention they have tons of information. Also Prep is 92% effective in stopping HIV infection when you have sex with a HIV positive person. Keep your head held high it's going to be a highly tense month and just know you have people praying for you and that your results come back Negative! If you do somehow by chance come back positive there is medication now that can pro long your life and reduce the HIV virus to undetectable levels. But I would listen to Nursegirl, Teak and Vance they have helped me when I was going through a rough patch and they give out great information.
