Pep efficiency

Hi everyone. I started a pep (tenofovir, lamividune, dolutegravir) 14 days ago, following an unprotected vagina ontercourse of 1 or 2 minutes.I put my drugs in the car when I go to work. Yesterday I red in tje drug bottle that it was forbidden to keep the drug in the temperature over 30°. My concern is as I libe in an african country, it's hot. So, will the heat in my car, where the drug stay 8-10 hours a day, affect the efficiency of my treatment?

"Outer course" is not a risk for HIV and you shouldn't be on pep for that.  Risks for HIV are specific and include having unprotected vaginal or anal INTERCOURSE or sharing IV needles. Air inactivates the virus. So, outercourse is not a risk.  I'm not sure who started you on pep but it was not in line with protocol.

Sorry, It was a typing error. Unprotected vaginal intercourse, I mean. Can you answer me?
I don't think so. I'm thinking you have no need for pep. But this is about HIV prevention on this forum. If you have a question about proper storage of medication, call the manufacturer. take care
23 days later, my partner tests negative with the rapid test. But I guess, I'll go on with my treatment till the end.
