Am I at risk?

If there was a significant amount of wet blood or even a little on an inanimate object could I contract HIV? I've read that you can't contract HIV this way because the air automatically inactives it but I've also read that you can contract it. I'm 17 & just need a little reassurance on this.

There was a significant amount of wet blood on a blanket I used, let's say if the wet blood was HIV positive could I contract it? I've read you can't because the air inactives it but then I've also read that you can contract it.
