Hiv or stds from vaginal swab
can you get hiv or any stds from a used vaginal swab? My daughter who is only 8 had to get a Vagina swab done. I know they are usually in packet but this one was left lying around not in packet. I'm worried she used somebody's one previously. I know job can't survive but I'm worried what that hel or liquid is where u have to put the cotton swab in. I would really appreciate some help. Thanks
I meant to type Hiv instead of job and what the gel or liquid inside transport tube for the swab. I forgot to mention she was getting checked for infections from discharge.

It is abnormal to think a clinic will spread HIV to their patients. Also HIV is inactivated in air so a swab can't infect.
