WondedSoul - HIV Fears

Had protected vaginal sex but she performed unprotected oral sex on me for 2 mins 80 days back.
Symptoms which i Faced AT
6 Days: abdominal pain and nausea
16 Days : I had pain in throat after 16 days and doctor diagnosed me for acute tonsillitis and gave me antibiotics which resolved the problem in 4-5 days.
30 Days : Had loose motions for a day which was gone same day after having Nutrolin B Capsule
36 Days: Had mucous cough and white coated tongue and fissured tongue which i had earlier i guess.
45 Days : Had runny and congested nose plus heaviness in throat plus one ulcer inside cheek which got off after 5 days.
50 Days : Had pain in back plus some sort of tingling rushing at upper back.

I am on 81 days now having on and off diarrhoea had twice watery stools (in five days) but having mushy kind of stools and more frequent bowel movements 4-5 times daily. I had routine stool test which is Colour : Dirty Brown , Form and consistency is undigested food and reaction is acidic.

I had 4th generation tests almost every week CMIA AB/AG P24 tests (ELISA) and none of the tests is r\Reactive as they all came Non Reactive with highest value 0.21. (Other values were 0.07 , 0.09 and 0.16 etc)

Had Non reactive test on 6th week (42 days) value 0.09

At 8th week 56 days Had tested for Viral load test RNA Quantitative (Real time PCR) and result was Target not Detected (Sample does not contain HIV 1)  and tested Non reactive for Hep B, Hep C and VDRL

Had Non reactive test on 11.5 week  (80 days) value 0.07

Other tests which i had in this period full of anxiety , stress and depression were
C Reactive Protein : 13.2 mg/l which is elevated.
Vitamin B12 is low  : 305 pg/ml.
Vitamin D 25 hydroxy is deficient 10.4 ng/ml.

I was diagnosed for Diabetes 4 months and was never on Insulin (was on Trajenta Duo, Metformin Glucophage for 1 month or so)  before this exposure but now my HBA1c is 5.5 which is in control and my blood sugar PP and fasting is in Normal Range.

The questions which can help my sleep less nights full of anxieties and depression are :
1. Which is the chance that i have contracted HIV
2. Can my Diabetes giving False negative results all the time and can it change window Period for me .
3. Should i go for further testing for HIV till 6 months.
4. When can i have conclusive result.

Please help my soul....every single second of 1 minute i think of getting HIV and one 1 day is like 1 year for me.

Hi, the problems with motions and runny nose are not symptoms of HIV. A runny nose can be due to common cold and lose motions generally are observed in a patient suffering from contaminated food consumption, contaminated drinking water or stomach flu. You never had a risk and you are safe from HIV in the case stated above.

You do not need any prayers :) because you are absolutely safe. More than half of the population in the world practice oral sex. Just imagine, if oral sex carried any risks for HIV, major of the population would have been HIV positive by now. On an average of 10 people, 8 people practice oral sex without a condom. The more you read over internet through G**gle which are mostly unreliable sources, the more you would feel sad about your sex life. Trust me, there are sources over internet that would also mention kissing as a risk for HIV transmission, if we believe that, we all should be HIV positive by now. :) Bottom line, think practically and enjoy your sex life with full protection. There is no harm in having sex if its well protected.

A risk is a risk...as far as I am concerned. Whether it be sexual or needle stick injury.
I think it comes from the liability of the medical field/medical facility to have the person who was exposed to a needle stick injury to test @ 6 months...since they more than likely stick to the "old standard" for legal reasons.

Testing @ 13 weeks would be conclusive considered you do not have: Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis, onset of diabetes, Lupus, blood transfusion, or any other medical condition that has impacted your immune system recently.

A test for a "normal" (and I use that term loosely) individual would have known their positive result @ 6- 8 weeks.

I believe health care workers still "stick" to the old CDC standard since 1985, which is 6 months.  Any "normal" human being would know by 6 weeks as far as I am concerned.

I remember several years ago being tested (and this was in 1998), the woman who had tested me said: "Put it this way, if you were infected with the flu (a virus) , would it really take 3 months to create antibodies to it?"  Answer: No.
I thought this was a great analogy....or isn't it?

Brian

No risk means you have no reason to test. This is going around in a circle and I think no matter what I write you will not believe. So test if you want but you don't have HIV from the above incident. Simple as that.
