Protected sex with trans woman.

I had protected sex with a trans person and got semen on my hand. Noticed my had had several scapes on it and around my thumb nail had a cut. None were currently bleeding but were fresh. I have been super paranoid and called a Dr.  I have read several things here that would suggest little to no risk. Dr prescribed me PEP meds, been taking them for two days now. Real uncomfortable feeling in ribs. Now I’m paranoid about liver damage, abt advice?

A doctor prescribed you PEP for this event? You are either making this up or you need to seriously think about seeing another one.

As told to you, there was no risk associated with this incident and testing won't be necessary. If you are not lying about your incident, you must get off PEP.

Yes prescribed me truvada and tivicay. Event was condom with intercouse and semen on hand. Hand had healing wounds on back side and fresh cut on thumb cuticle area.
That was a non-event so I do not know why you keep providing irrelevant details. Since you were really anxious he might have prescribed PEP just to get you out of his office so he could make money off someone else.
Just replying to above, not providing different details. Same details relevant to the situation. Providing the poster above with the addition of med names prescribed. Thanks for the help and guidance.
ok, good luck.

No, you didn't read little risk on this forum, so you must be very anxious if you think anyone here said that. Your doc is a quack but it is up to you to make the decision whether or not to pretend you had a risk and continue to take PEP as a placebo medication.
This answers all of your HIV questions, and if you can think of any more just reread about the 3. You had zero risk therefore  testing is irrelevant to your situation because you had zero risk. HIV is a fragile virus, which is instantly inactivated in air and also in saliva which means it is effectively dead so it can't infect from touching, external rubbing or oral activities. It doesn't matter if you and they were actively bleeding or had cuts at the time either because the HIV is effectively dead.
Only 3 adult risks are the following:
1. unprotected penetrating vaginal with a penis
2. unprotected penetrating anal sex with a penis
3. sharing needles that you inject with.
The only way to get HIV is if you did one of the 3. The situation you describe is a long way from any of these 3.
Even with blood, lactation, cuts, rashes, burns, etc the air or the saliva does not allow inactivated virus to infect from touching, external rubbing or oral activities. The above HIV science is 40 years old and very well established, so no detail that you can add to your encounter will change it from zero risk. Doctors have calculated the risk from what you describe to be less than that of being hit by a meteor, therefore no one will get HIV from what you did in the next 40 years of your life either.
If you didn't have one of the 3 then you are just worrying about your own hiv theory - which is unrealistic for you to think that can become reality - so you should move on back to your happy life instead.

Thank you for the fast reply. Just a little paranoid is all..
That was natural, but now you know the facts so you should relax.
